This notice must include the name, address, and phone number of the CRA that provided the report, a statement that the CRA did not make the decision, and a notice of the consumer’s right to obtain a free copy of their credit report and dispute its accuracy.
  4. Limitations on Access to Credit Reports:
    • The FCRA limits who can access a consumer’s credit report and for what purposes. Generally, credit reports can only be accessed by entities with a legitimate need, such as lenders, employers (with the consumer’s consent), insurance companies, and landlords.
