Cease and Desist Letter
Subject: Cease and Desist Letter Regarding Debt Collection Attempts
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally request that you cease all communication with me regarding the alleged debt referenced in your previous correspondence. This request is made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), 15 U.S.C. § 1692c(c), which grants me the right to demand that a debt collector stop contacting me.
You are hereby notified to immediately cease and desist all further communication with me, including, but not limited to:
- Phone calls (including robocalls and texts)
- Letters or mailed correspondence
- Emails
- Contacting my place of employment
- Discussing this matter with third parties (friends, family, or employer)
If you believe that I owe this debt, you must provide written validation of the debt, including details about the original creditor, the amount owed, and any other relevant information. However, I do not consent to any further verbal communication regarding this matter.
Please note that failure to comply with this request may result in legal action being taken against your agency for violating my rights under the FDCPA.
Additionally, I request that you provide written confirmation that you have received and will comply with this cease and desist demand.
This letter is not an acknowledgment of any debt nor an agreement to pay any amount. If you believe I owe this debt and intend to pursue legal action, please do so through the appropriate legal channels.
Sincerely,
