At 50 years old, I don’t generally write Google reviews, but this one I write with pleasure! I have been threatened by a collection agency off and on for years now regarding a debt that originated in 2002.  It was a credit card that had been paid off in full in 1999 but just prior to posting the last payment, they added a late fee or an interest charge but never sent anything to make me aware until 2002.  I dealt with that collection agency at that time and was able to show proof that it had been paid previously and was told that they were writing off the account.  Instead, they sold it so I was contacted about it again in 2009 after my divorce finalized. Then it was sold again apparently so I got a call in like 2020. The company that apparently bought it last in 2025 has been the worst!  They have contacted all of my family, friends and  they have also called my ex-husbands family and current husband’s family as well.  Around August I started getting threats of a lawsuit. Stating that they were going to sue me and place a lien on my home. The last call was all I could take so I started searching for answers on google and that’s how I found this group!  I filled out the questionnaire online and he reached out shortly after! My situation doesn’t qualify for a lawsuit, but he actually took the time to answer all my questions, evaluate my entire situation and give me peace of mind that this is a scam and that they can’t do anything to meet over a debt that’s over 20 years old. We work on the road and all I could see were signs of having to leave work and go to court and hire an attorney and then the possibility of a lien against our home and just the headache of it all. The gentleman with the Collection company was just badgering, rude and very threatening. It was nice to know and confirm and have peace of mind that it was all part of the collection agency game, trying to manipulate me and into paying for something they purchased that should’ve been written off the responses I got from this law firm for reassuring and supportive, and I would definitely recommend them! This past fall, I began receiving harassing and threatening phone calls from a debt collection agency on a fraudulent account that I had no knowledge of. There are a lot of scams attempting to use scare tactics in order obtain personal information from unsuspecting victims.  When I attempted to get further information from the agency to verify who they are and to verify the validity of their claim, they were uncooperative and met my inquiries with aggression and threats. I contacted Consumer Rights Law Firm and spoke with Scott, who was quick to listen and take action. Scott was amazing and very professional! He was very knowledgeable and took the time to  explain everything and answer my questions. We were dealing with a very unprofessional debt collector. Im thankful I looked into our rights and what we could do and found Consumer Rights Law Firm. Worked with Matthew after hearing about them previously on BBB. We did everything very conveniently over text due to my work circumstances as well. With just a couple of screenshots and audio recording I forwarded, they took care of everything for me from start to finish, free as promised.
